Food is More Than Just Food at Tony P's

Growing up, all our cousins, aunts and uncles would gather around Grandma Rossi's kitchen table to make raviolis.  We would make a big mound of flour  in the middle of the big table and make a hole on the top like a volcano, put in eggs and a pinch of salt and mix it all together with our hands, eventually forming a dough.  We would knead it into a soft dough using the palms of our hands and then spread it out thin using a hand cranked table top pasta machine.

Grandma Rossi would prepare the ravioli filling on the stove with spinach from her garden, eggs from the chickens in her barn and ground beef,  adding in olive oil, parmesan and herbs.  We would then spend hours making hundreds of raviolis by hand for the whole extended family.

At Tony  P's we're so blessed to be transported to the comfort of Grandma Rossi's kitchen table everytime we sit down to share her recipe with our friends and family.

We know that Grandma Rossi is smiling down on us from Heaven right now.
